Vai'el Grace. The leader of the Kyoshinja was visiting the human world. The Vizard was, for once, without his mask. His attire consisted of a black sleeveless and backless shirt, blue jeans, and a pair of black sneakers. His version of 'casual wear'. His tanto blade and sheath were on his left leg. He stood in a desert-like area. Mountains, lack of plant life, and a sun that just wouldn't give up on the heat. It was all terribly awful here really, but he wished to take a stroll through a part of the Human World he wasn't often in. For now, he was unmasked, and his reiatsu was low. Very low. If one was to analyze him, it would be at about a third seat. He had little need for high reiatsu right now, and having it blaring would merely bring unwanted attention to himself.

The sight of a garganta opening could be seen within the deserts of the human world, and from it would emerge the Primera Espada. Stepping out onto the sands, he felt a sort of familiarity with his home land, although it wasn't quiet as cold. He would stand in a pair of slacks with a button down, all grey. His zanpakuto would rest on his left hip as the garganta closed behind him, his eyes setting on the other. A smile would creep across his lips, the faintest signs of excitement dancing in his eyes as he pulled his hands from the pockets of his pants.

Right one time.

Vai'el had been tracking this creature for sometime. Part of the job of an Assassin was to predict movements, know where your enemy was going to go before they did. He faced the Arrancar and stood still for a moment. It wasn't time to put on his mask yet. As far as this man would be concerned, Vai'el was just another Shinigami with about the power and speed of a third seat. It wasn't in Vai'el's manifesto to open up the fight, but he figured since he had the drop on the figure, in two different areas (i.e. mask, and hiding his power levels), why not? Vai'el rushed the being, rather than using a reduced speed shunpo since it was a well known fact that 3rd Seats weren't exactly quick with the Shunpo and he feared the man might read his movement, and when he got close, the Vizard pushed off the ground. He would start off with a simple attack. A series of swift kicks at the man's chest that would end with with right foot sweeping across, aimed at the man's shoulder. Piston kicks was one of his favorite moves, and if the move hit he would be please. If not...well he always had a Plan B-Z.

Given the situation, Gabriel would watch the man move. A cero was already charged in his hand as the first of the kicks would come to aim for his chest. His response to the series of kicks would be to jump back, firing the cero as he did so. Gabriel was many a things, but foolish was seldom one of them. He knew the dangers of underestimating his opponents, and he would make sure this one wasn't. Though he felt like that of a 3rd seat, it would be odd for a third seat to kick at somebody, without even unsheathing their weapon. That alone was enough to put him on high alert, and from that point on nothing would be left to chance.

Cero?! And so quickly.

Vai'el used his shunpo, vanishing at a moment's notice. The difficulty wasn't dodging. The difficulty was dodging at a 3rd Seat's speed. He managed, but anyone who knew the average speed of a 3rd Seat knew that it was not that fast. "My name is Grace of the Ontmisukido and 3rd Seat of the 2nd Division." His voice was overflowing with overconfidence. Trade mark trait of someone on the verge of promotion. with that he charged in again. He stopped just before a collision and threw a straight punch at the Arrancar. A 3rd Seat's speed, a 3rd Seat's power, a 3rd Seat's cocky attitude.

Gabriel stared the other down, unsheathing his blade when the punch was just starting it's forward strike. Grabbing the blade with his right hand, he would pull it free from its home and swing it, edge towards the arm, upwards diagonally. His aim was for the inner elbow, wanting to cut the opposing arm in a way that would keep it from further actions. He wouldn't ignore the fact that the cero was dodged, but he would keep the other from thinking he might have held onto the moment.
"Call me what you wish, but my name is Gabriel." His voice was rough from lack of use, this probably being the first time he'd used it in months. Although rough, it held a certain form of respect for the other, something he provided to every opponent even before the battles begin.

Shit.

He was out of practice fighting at this skill level. This man was certainly one of the stronger Arrancar. That much was obvious. The speed of his reactions was simply too much to attribute to someone of a lower caliber. No matter. This 'Gabriel' would learn exactly who he was swinging that blade at soon enough. Vai'el would have to stop the punch mid-strike and jump back. He toned his speed down though, keeping up the illusion of a 3rd Seat, and took a small flesh wound on his wrist. It was nothing major, but stopping a straight punch isn't exactly something easy to pull off. Harder still when you're not playing to your full potential. He skidded to a stop a few feet back from Zeil. His eyes examined the wound for a moment before returning to the Arrancar. He wasn't satisfied yet. He wanted to know exactly what he was dealing with here.

He motioned for the Arrancar to attack. A small beckoning with his index and middle finger.

There was something missing from this fight, Gabriel had the look of a starving animal, those golden orbs all but eating the other alive. Gabriel wouldn't rush the man, but simply begin walking towards the other, his blade resting at his side. It wasn't a sign of disrespect, he was in fact very cautious of this individual, it was just his way of fighting. His footsteps would be even, calm, almost rhythmic in his pursuit for the other. The one thing that never ceased was the gaze on the man, an unending stare with those hungry eyes.

Those predatory eyes would be met with a a slight frown, eyes filled with doubt, a small step back. Fear. The confidence and bravado he had just a moment ago was gone, and nothing but the fear existed. The kind of fear an ant gets after realizing he is fighting a god. Vai'el got into a defensive stance and continued to take half steps back. His arms shook slightly, but he shook his head and took a breath. He looked determined to fight, but his eyes still exhibited an inkling of fear. He pointed at the approaching Arrancar and found his voice. "Hado 1. Sho!" He choked back the full power. If it made contact, it would feel like an average level punch to the chest. Classic 3rd Seat move when faced with stronger opposition.

Gabriel watched the man use a level one hado, something that would stop him in his movements for a moment as it hit it's mark. It didn't exactly hurt, just more like something like a solid thud to the chest that made him want to scratch it. it wouldn't stop him for long enough through, as after it hit him, he would simply continue to the other, his blade now raising to chest level. He held it horizontally in front of him, those same hungry eyes staring the other down.

Vai'el continued to shuffle backwards. This man was a beast. He saw Vai'el as his prey. You didn't live for over a thousand years and not know how to play a variety of roles spot on. He took a deep breath and reached down quickly, snagging the tanto from his left leg's sheath. He held it with two hands, both of them moderately shaking, and spoke clearly. "You won't s-scare me, Arrancar! Witness my power!"

He sounded ridiculous, but if he had a dollar for every third seat he heard say that he could be living a life of luxury.

"Shatter, Yuki!"

Once his Shikai is released, Vai'el's sword goes through a complete transformation. Upon speaking his Call Out Command, his blade seems to look as if it were covered in snow. While this happens, the whole sword seems to grow in length (roughly gaining an extra inch and a half), especially the hilt. He then flicks his wrist, shaking the flakes off, the snow and ice. A thousand snowflakes fall to the ground leaving the newly formed blade bare.

His swords appearance has finally completed it's transformation. The hilt is now around fifteen centimeters long, although still usable with one hand. The hilt is now brown, with several icy circles wrapping around it. They are proportioned perfectly to fit Vai'el's hands, be it he is wielding it with one hand or with two.

He looks at the Arrancar and grins that cocky third seat grin. "Scared yet?" The temperature begins to rapidly drop. Vai'el is aware that it is now 50 degrees colder in the area.

Gabriel watched the man release his zanpakuto into shikai, something a supposed third seat would be capable of. There was one thing that Gabriel knew, and it was battle, and the man released his zanpakuto with just a bit too well. There was something the man was hiding, be it rank, bankai, or something even stranger. As the temperature dropped, his breathe would come out slower and gentler, his eyes half lidded as everything around him seemed to fade out. His focus fell solely on the individual before him, everything around him falling into the void of his mind. Although he was aware of the man's zanpakuto, there was no fear. Fear was the one thing he had only ever felt a handful of times, and this was not one of those times.

Vai'el chuckled and righted his posture. "I do have to apologize. I'm not really all I appear to be, and I did lie to you...I'm not the 3rd seat for the Onmitsukido. I'm the Lieutenant...I feign being lower to get my enemy to lower their guard...clearly you're smarter than that. Shame...but whatever. Time is wasting, and I have places to be. So. All cards on the table...I am a Lieutenant who has access to their bankai. It's a little known secret. Maybe if you prove to be annoying enough I'll show you..."

As Vai'el spoke his blade began to glow a soft shade of blue. He held it casually in his right hand, and the snow was still piled around his feet. He grinned at the Arrancar. Suddenly fear was replaced with cockiness. His power also took a large spike into the upper vice-captain range. Proof enough that he could in fact access Bankai. He motioned for the Arrancar to make his move.

Gabriel could tell the man was still holding back, after all what would stop him from lying even further. It didn't matter to him, he would fight will all the pride and strength he had.
"Sumergir...Sombra." The words sounded almost hollow from his voice, and as he spot them the blade in his zanpakuto would vanish for an instant, his entire body being covered in some sort of body suit. His mask fragment took the shape and form of a set of jaws over his face, eight coffins resting behind him for a moment. Rushing the other, his zanpakuto would form in his left hand, a serrated version of his original blade, the coffins shooting out in all directions. By the time he would come within range of the other, the coffins would have positioned themselves fifty meters around him, expunging darkness withing the area they surrounded. He would swing the blade at the man, a horizontal swing aimed for the mans chest. The man's vision and sense of reiatsu would be taken from him, but if the man was as strong as Gabriel anticipated, he would be able to sense his general location. Now it was a test of ho had the better skill, and Gabriel wanted to see what this man could do.

He felt the increase in power and arched a brow. It seems this man was going all out. Fair enough...

After the transformation, Vai'el looked upon the man's new form. He had seen numerous Arrancar releases before. Never one with coffins before though. He tilted his head at the transformation and narrowed his eyes as the coffins shot outwards and suddenly his world went dark. He could also feel his sixth sense being...dampened. Luckily, the Arrancar was already within striking distance of Vai'el. He used the last image he had to predict a strike. The chest would be the likely area, but it could be a stag, a slash, or even a punch or kick. Regardless of the kind of attack, dodging would be the best option. So that's what he did. He pushed off the ground, jumping back and narrowly dodging the attack. Vai'el flicked his blade up as he picked up on the sound of the blade moving through the air. The snow that was sitting where Vai'el originally stood shot up in an attempt to blast against Zeil's face. His blade continued to glow it's gentle blue.

He had kept a close eyes on the snow, knowing full well it would be dangerous in this battle. With skillful feet, Gabriel would pivot on his toes, turning to avoid the snow as it shot past his face. He would continue the turn, making full rotation, pushing off the ground to charge his opponent. Keeping silent within his darkness, he wouldn't dare breathe while chasing the other. He needed as much advantage as possible, and he would use everything to his advantage in order to make this man bleed. Once within striking distance, he would swing the blade upwards, in a diagonal strike from the left. His free hand was kept free for any such counters or surprises the man might throw.

This was getting dangerous. As a trained Assassin, of course all of his senses were top notch. His sight, his hearing, he even trained his sense of smell in case he should ever be poisoned. One could never be too careful. He wasn't playing at his full strength though. He really didn't want to use his Bankai as it was...limited in it's true ability. His Shikai, however, was less limited but it took a while to get going. Maybe if he was playing to his full set of strengths he could hold this Arrancar off, even in darkness, but as it stood...it was difficult. He needed to buy some time. This conclusion was reached prior to the enemy approaching, and the solution for buying time was reached during the man's approach. Vai'el flicked his sword-hand wrist "Shatter." Two thousand more snowflakes fell from the blade, and instantly began to react to Vai'el's next command. Which came at a good moment. "Shell of Ice." The snow circled around him, forming a frozen dome, and Vai'el heard the blade smack against it. His ear twitched as he pointed his sword at the direction of the sound. The snow pile from behind the Arrancar launched forward to the Hollow's new position.

The situation as it stood was something of a problem, but with a quick flip over the dome would keep the snow at bay for at least a bit more. Mid flip however, Gabriel would once again swing his blade at the dome around his opponent. It was a horizontal strike, and once his blade would touch the sphere, a cero would be fired from his blade. He needed to see what this dome could withstand to see what else needed to be done to break it. Everything was a puzzle, and he needed the pieces to fit together before he had a chance of doing any serious damage.

He had seen enough. He was getting bored of this game. Now he remembered why he preferred assassination missions to combat missions. Assassination required trailing, learning, then a quick and single strike. Combat required...well work. He was lazy. His dome was already coming down by the time the man flipped over it. His sixth sense was still wonky, but he could still tell roughly where the Arrancar was. So he knew to shunpo forward though he remained unaware of what the man was going to do back there. As he came out of the shunpo about five meters in front of where he was before, he turned and faced the Arrancar. "Bankai..." He flipped the blade around, holding it in a reverse grip. He began to slice the air horizontally. Snow trailed from the blade's tip, and what started as a small amount of snow quickly multiplied into hundreds and thousands. The snow whipped around him in a cyclone, multiplying with each rotation before eventually Vai'el sliced his hand through the air, causing the snow to break apart. "Tōketsu Shita Kitakaze..." 500,000 snow flakes covered the area. The temperature dropped rapidly. One could see their own breath at this point. Escaping the snow wasn't possible unless you were far far away. From what he gathered, this man would fight close up. Which would prove to benefit Vai'el. Hundreds of thousands of the flakes quickly turned into hail as the snow flakes took the heat from the area.

The man's attire changed as well. It didn't seem like the cold bothered him at all, despite his lack of anything warm-looking. A purple shirt covered his torso with a cut going up the side, and buckles over the shirts collar and chest.  The stitching is flawless, and there were no sleeves on the shirt either. Instead, he has an arm brace on his right arm where the sleeve starts, and an arm band on his left arm running from his bicep down just passed his elbow. His pants are gray as well, and his shoes were black and slightly pointed, with a bit of a heel on them too. There is a black belt on his waist as well with a golden belt buckle that has the face of a grinning "demon" on it. That would be the face of his Zanpakuto's Spirit Yuki.

Vai'el looked where the Arrancar was, able to tell his location by feeling where his snow wasn't falling. He took about 50,000 snow flakes from behind the enemy and willed them to move forward in a blast of cold air and hail.

Gabriel didn't have time to think about things, everything was left to his instincts and in the instant he heard bankai he knew he had to move. With a sonido he carried himself from his current position to one directly ten feet behind his opponent, his blade raise for any sort of strikes of the like. A cero oscuros was charged in his free hand, as well as reiatsu charging into the coffin facing the front of the snow manipulator. Everything in this fight depended on him making the right moves at the right time, and he needed to do so with a precise and accurate aim, striking for vitals at every opportunity.

The 50,000 snowflakes still charged forward. They moved incredibly quickly. Even as the Arrancar dodged the initial strike, they were quickly approaching Vai'el. The snow broke apart and attempted to overtake Zeil once more. At this point, the Arrancar would begin to notice that his body would develop patches of ice. The Vizard didn't hear the sound of a sword slash, so he decided to take the fight to the Arrancar. 450,000 snow flakes stopped falling down and began to whip about wildly, obscuring vision. "Hidden Truth..." The Vizard would walk forward into the blizzard. Sensing him was impossible at this point. The snow began to give off the same feeling as Vai'el down to the very size. Some flake were suspended, other flew left, other right, some up, some down. Vai'el moved to stand further back from the Arrancar, putting about five meters worth of distance between them. He remained unaware of the coffin charging an attack, but the shift in power from the Arrancar told him he was planning something big.

The sound of a coffin opening could be heard in the darkness, and as it closed shut it would slam with enough force to silence everything within the shadows. In that instant Gabriel would fire the cero oscuros, a six foot long spear of shadows firing at his opponent in the same moment. It wasn't the ideal thing to do, but it was one of the only things to do in this situation. Just as the snow touched upon his skin, he would sonido above his opponent, fifteen feet above. With a hefty throw, he would launch his blade directly down at the head of his opponent, feeling the ice on his body forming. This fight was going down hill fast, and if there was anything he could do, he would do it now.

As he moved through the snow, he readied his next attack. One of the coffin's created a deafening sound. He was about to attack when he felt his snow being disturbed by something. Something...big. It had the form of...a cero? That big? Vai'el was quickly running out of options here. There was something else behind him too. Damn. He had to take one of these hits. Even if he shunpo'd out the way, there wasn't much moving area as he couldn't tell where the darkness ended and the light began. Performed a combination defense that would manage to defend against only one attack. He didn't know what was coming from in front of him, but he figured that it was better than cero. He stopped his Hidden Truth ability, in order to protect himself. "Greater Shell of Ice! Bakudo 81, Danku! Snow formed around him, momentarily creating a dome of ice, as well as that a barrier formed in front of him separating him from the incoming cero attack. The barrier would meet with the cero, but ultimately fall to it. The reduced power was enough that his dome would shield him from the ability though. The attack behind him hit the dome as well. He sighed softly as it held up against the attack. He couldn't see the damage done to his dome, but if he could he would know that the dome just barely held up. All the same, his game of "hide and seek" was over prematurely, and his dome was starting to come down. They were right back at square one, but at least the snow still raged on around them. Still freezing anything within it's wintery grip. Unfortunately, the two attacks had devastated the barrier, and the incoming strike passed through the cracking dome. Fortunately for him, the movement from his defenses allowed him to avoid a fatal attack, but he wasn't able to avoid it completely. The blade bit into his shoulder. He let out a muffled groan of pain as he felt the cold steel sink into his flesh. He grabbed the blade with his good arm, his right one, and tossed it to his right. He swore under his breath. He was getting irritated...

The sound of another coffin would slam in the instant before his blade made contact with the other. Gabriel didn't waste a moment from when the blade hit the others shoulder to the point when he pulled it out, in that time he sonido'd behind him with a fully charged cero in hand, firing at his back at chest level. Once the blade had left the others fingers he would sonido to grab it, throwing it with another hefty toss at the mans chest, rushing upwards to avoid any damage if his cero was dodged. Keeping his distance from the other was good to get away from as much of the snow as possible, making sure to never actually touch the ground when he got close to it. The constant barrage of attacks were his best shot at doing considerable amounts of damage to the other, already putting reiatsu into the coffin to the left of the other for when the time came. If any of the following strikes hit his chances of survival would grow exponentially, as would his chances of beating his opponent. He would put another fifteen feet between them upwards as well as diagonally after the throw of his sword, making sure to keep from any of the snow below with careful eyes.
