Jaynura looks like a young japanese high school male. He wears a black trench coat with a dark green on the inside. Underneath his trench coat he wears a black jumpsuit. He has dark blue eyes with black short spiky hair.

Personality: Jay is a very serious young man. Hei exhibits and sometimes acts upon emotions. Hei also has a huge appetite, often surprising people with how much he can eat. One thing he has gained from all the years of being poor is that he is possibly one of the most loyal people one could possibly meet. He firmly believes that breaking promises and changing sides 'isn't cool at all.' Deep down, he is always looking out for his friends, and is even willing to sacrifice himself in order to protect his friends, showing his bravery and dedication. Despite his usual unenthusiastic appearance, he proves to be actually quite determined, and he also helps people get back on their feet when they are at a loss. He is also quick-thinking and cunning, being able to figure out a plan or a strategy rather quickly.


History: After death Jay began life in the soul society poor and alone. He wandered around starving and alone for almost 50 years until he met Yuzuko. Yuzuko was part of a group of thieves that went around stealing to survive. It was then 100 years after he died that he discovered he had a high amount of spiritual energy. He used his powers to kill Yuzuko and the rest of the gang in order to atone for his sins of stealing from the hard working people. After killing his friends he began to wonder around again. Jay didn’t know as what to do as he was back to being poor and hungry. One day he met a girl named Sasha who was going to join the academy as a first year student soon. The girl asked Jay if he wanted to be friends and that is what happened they became friends. Jay and Sasha acted like they were attached at the hip spending every hour of every day together. As time went one Jay fell in love with Sasha but he never once told her. And one day Sasha asked Jay one day to join the academy with her, and he said yes. And so they joined the academy together. Jay started his first year in the shinigami school with Sasha. Jay was a very excellent student excelling at all his classes with only one person anywhere near his level that person was Sasha. After joining his relationship with Sasha grew stronger due to their constant rivalry for best in the class. Because of him and Sasha being the top kids in the class they were constantly bullied by their peers. Even with this obstacle in the way the two of them continued to stay friends and the top students of the class. After 4 hard years the two of them graduated from the academy with the highest marks. After graduation they were both placed in the 13th division of the Gotei 13. Jay was made third seat while Sasha was made 4th seat. After becoming 3rd seat Jay was sent on a number of high profile missions with Sasha. But one mission changed Jay forever. Jay and Sasha were in the world of the living checking on a disturbance. When they arrived they were faced with 2 menos grande. The menos were very powerful, so powerful to the point they killed Sasha and bought Jay to the brink of death. Jay suddenly heard a voice call to him and the voice sad Ying. Jay found the energy to stand and spoke his zanpakuto’s name to unleash his shikai for the first time. With his new found shikai power he defeated the menos and returned home but without Sasha. Sasha’s death affected Jay greatly to the point of him going into a state of depression. During this state of depression he had lost all hope in the world and himself. Months before the war and about 300 years after Sasha’s death Jay was called upon to join a scouting team in Huceo Mundo to scout out how strong the arrancar forces will be. While inside Jay engaged a vasto lord ranked hollow. This hollow was far too powerful for Jay to defeat and it almost killed him. Upon his second close death encounter he discovered his bankai and defeated the hollow that almost killed him. As the war began Jay was on the front lines fighting off many lower ranked arrancar. Jay killed arrancar after arrancar without effort and barely tiring. During the climax of the war the division 13 captain died to the hands of the espada. The outcome of his death led to the lieutenant becoming captain and Jay becoming lieutenant. During Jay’s fight with the 10th espada he lost his powers and stopped fighting in the war. He then went into a state of depression similar to the one he was in when Sasha died, and he was willing to do anything to get his powers back. Jay underwent the process known as shattered shaft in order to regain his powers. In one month’s time Jay had regained his powers, but it came with a price. The price was that he had gained hollow powers. This proved beneficial to Jay as he re-entered the war stronger than before. With his new powers he defeated more and more arrancar, which got him the name “The Black Reaper”. During the war’s closing the newly appointed captain of the 13th division was killed. Months after the war Jay defeated his inner hollow and, was then appointed the new captain of the 13th division due to his bravery and strength during and before the war.
