This new Era is one written in blood. The blood of the King of Hollows. The Shinigami called it The Blue Moon War. The Arrancar have another name for it; "The Day the Black Sun Set". On the last day of the war, nearly six months ago, The Arrancar took major losses. Losses so great, it put them on the verge of extinction. The War started well however, The arrancar had held siege on the Seireitei. Their camps dotted the inner districts of the Rukongai while the Espada would invade the city. They struck again and again with the King of Hollows expert tactics, never faulting even for a moment. It was the furthest the Race had ever come to overtaking the Shinigami and destroying them completely.

As each day passed, a Captain fell. The first was the Captain of Division 3, who fell to the blade of the Septima. This first death of a Captain shook the moral of the shinigami, paving the way to more Arrancar victories. Three days later, The Decima and the Sexta both attacked the Captains of Division 7 and 13. The tag team duel ended in the Espada's favor, as both Captains died within seconds of one another. No one truly knows who died first. This however was to be the last of the Arrancar victories.

In what seemed like a turning of a page, the arrancar began to fall one by one. The first to fall was the Sexta by the Division 6 captain, the Decima fell shortly after. The following day, the Septima fell to the Captain of Division 2. Their battle was witnessed high in the sky of Seireitei, one which the Captain was critically wounded in.

It was at this point that the King of Hollows made his appearance. The legendary Aion, better known as the  "5 Thousand Year King", Decided to unleash his force upon the shinigami. He alone reduced the remainder of the shinigami forces to roughly a quarter of their total strength. All while the shinigami stood helpless as they tried to evade the aggressive attacks of the remaining Espada.

Aion was meet with only one adversary, Xion Miyamoto, The Captain Commander. The two battled one another after a quick conversation among warriors. Shortly after the battle began, all others seemed to die down, focusing on the outcome of the two Race Leaders. The minutes turned to an hour, an hour became several, while the battle raged on. Time stood still for the two battling, all while thousands watched, eager for a victor. Finally, after an eternity of battle, Aion fell. With the Captain Commanders Zanpakuto buried in his chest, the Espada called for a retreat. They would have none.

As they retreated, the shinigami followed them from the Seiretei to the sands of Hueco Mundo. As the battles raged on, the Esapda and the arrancar were forced back into Los Noches, which the shinigami attacked relentlessly. As the wall crumbled around them, the Esapda escaped through the vast labyrinth beneath the castle that outstretched far along the sands. Never had the Espada suffered such a defeat.

Afterwards, each Espada went their own way. Without the Hollow King, everything seemed lost. Some lost the drive they once had and disappeared into the sands. Others stayed in Los Noches, trying to pick up the pieces of what remained. Few were thought dead, as they never looked back after the Castle fell.

Now, six months later, a Lone Vasto Lorde nearly as old as the old king, has removed the mask that bound their kind to the name "Hollows". Ready to take charge, this newly made Arrancar makes way towards the ruins of Los Noches. The task ahead; to find and reform the disbanded Espada. Once back in place, the Vasto Lorde only has one goal in mind; Revenge.

Note: Espada 10, 7, and 6 are new espada and their history should reflect that fact.

Reason: I have a character thought out, but he doesn't fit with the site's plotline, or the groups themery. I was even pondering to create a Vizard for a while, because I thought my shinigami would fit in there seemlessly, but came to the conclusion that he wouldn't. I have spent a while of the last couple days rethinking a character concept and came with one for an Arrancar. His powers, layout, and goals merge better with the overarching plot. If you want a draft as proof of this, I can hand one in. Thankyou.
