Inner World: Lanying's inner world takes on the appearance of a huge meadow. In the center of the meadow is a giant tree that is always full of green leaves, regradless of the time of year within the world. Beneath the tree, there appears to be an unmarked grave, and Yan has refused to say anything about it and will quickly change the subject if asked about it.

Appearance: Yan is a short, humanoid purple-feathered swallow. She wears white bell bottoms and a white halter top with ruffles near the top that extend to cover her shoulders. She also wears a white bandana on her head and has a pair of orange sunglasses.

Zanpakuto Spirit:

Personality: Yan is the complete opposite of Lanying. She is loud, obnoxious, and not very smart. However, despite their differences, Lanying and Yan are more than partners, they are friends.

Sealed State--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Appearance: Lanying's Zanpakuto's sealed appearance is unique compared to most zanpakutos. It does not take the form of a Katana, Wakazashi, or any other Japanese sword, but instead takes the form of a Jian, a double edged chinese sword.

The blade is roughly 2 and a half feet in length, and about 4 inches in width. The handle of the blade is made from wood that was died a deep brown, made almost to look like mahogany. From the end of the handle hangs a bright yellow tassel. The sheath of the blade is the same color to match the handle, and is adorned with bronze emblems at the halfway mark, and at each end.

Sealed Zanpakuto:

Type: Jian

Shikai-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

release phrase:  Return, Yan

Appearance:  To release Yan from her sealed state, Lanying must speak the release phrase of 'Return Yan' which will cause her blade to enter Shikai. Upon speaking the release phrase, Lanying would be surrounded by leaves which would whip around her as if caught in a tornado.

In Shikai, Yan is now a Guandao. The total length of this weapon is 7 feet in length, from the tip of the blade, to the bottom edge of the handle. The blade of the guandoa is roughly a foot in length and is double edged at the tip, and to the halfway mark in the back where it bends upwards to have a small spike. The blade is attatched to the handle with a small metal holder designed in the shape of a bird's head, specifically a swallow. The handle takes up the rest of the length and is made from the same material as when sealed.

Shikai Release:

Ability:  The main ability of Yan is to summon and control the leaves of the tree in their shared inner world into the real world. Lanying is granted many abilities through this tactic, such as enlarging the blade of her guandao, or using them as a defensive wall. There is no limit to the ammount of leaves she can summon, and each leaf is as sharp as steel, but when cut they just scatter about as if they really were leaves. As well as being able to use them in her abilities, she is also able to use the Leaves as if they were an extra limb. She can use them to grab common objects such as lampposts, streetlights, cars, and buildings. She normally does this if she needs to balance herself. When she is not using the leaves for attacking, they attach to her guandao and give it the appearance of having a long flowing green ribbon.

Name: Blade of Grass: Shikai version
Description: This ability can be used while Lanying is in her shikai, as well as her bankai. Using this ability, Lanying is able to create a blade made entirely out of leaves in her spare hand in her shikai, or either of her hands in bankai, that is as sharp as steel. The durability of this blade is weak, and can only be used for a short period of time before the leaves scatter once again. Uses 100 leaves.

Name: Leaf Extension
Description: This ability can only be while Lanying is in her shikai. Leaf Extension is a technique that uses the many leaves under Lanying's control to attach to the blade of her guandao and extend it's initial length of one foot to a maximum of five feet. Each new foot adds 100 leaves for a maximum of 400 leaves.
Preparation Time: Lanying will point her blade up in the air and have the leaves fly towards her and attach to her blade. 1 post

Name: Leaf Storm
Description: This ability can be used while Lanying remains in Shikai. Leaf Storm is a technique that allows Lanying to use her control of leaves to scatter and, either all at once or one at a time, fly towards her intended target. Uses about 1 thousand leaves.
Preparation Time: N/A
Duration: 1 post
Cooldown:  1 post after making contact with anything, or they are recalled after a miss.

Name: Leaf Cloak
Description: This ability encases Lanying in an armor made entirely out of leaves. Each leaf is as as hard as tempered steel, due to being empowered by her own reiatsu, so, when made contact with, will feel like real armor. While using this ability, Lanying summons about 500 leaves to be her armor.
Preparation Time: 1 post for the leaves to surround Lanying
Duration: 5 posts at most
Cooldown:  2 posts after they are either broken or dispersed.

Bankai Name: Dìqiú wèi hǎiyàn

Appearance: In Bankai, Lanying would lose her Guandao. In it's place would be a forest of trees in a 1 mile radius surrounding her, her allies, and her opponents. The trees are aligned in such a way that it is a maze, the trees pressed together so close that it is almost impossible to see to the other side. The canopy of the forest is, matching with the proximity of the trees, just as dense. Each top branch of each tree interlocks with the ones next to it, and across from it, causing a near impenetrable barrier preventing people from reaching higher than 20 feet off the ground.

Character Change: When in Bankai, Lanying is mostly the same as she normally is. Quiet and reserved. But, as she will only release her bankai when she, or those she care about, are in danger, she is more ruthless than normal. When entering Bankai, she does so with the intention to kill.

Ability:  In this forest of trees, Lanying is able to control both the leaves, and the branches of the trees. She is able to form a maze of branches, blades made entirely out of leaves, and spears made out of the branches. As the trees are empowered by Lanying's high reiatsu, they are next to impossible to cut down, but are still susceptible to fire.

Name: Maze of Trees
Description: This ability allows Lanying to change up the tree walls of her bankai. However, each time she does so the set up is random, so she must be careful lest she come face to face with an enemy.
Preparation Time: 1 post for each change of the walls
Duration: As long as Lanying remains in Bankai
Cooldown: 5 posts before Lanying can change up the maze.

Name: Leaf Hurricane
Description: This ability can be used while Lanying remains in her bankai. Leaf Hurricane is an advanced version of her Leaf Storm that allows Lanying to use her control of leaves to scatter the leaves of all the trees and send them throughout the maze, harming anything within their path. As this ability uses all the leaves, on ever tree in the 1 mile radius, there can be no real number on how many leaves she is controlling, but it can be estimated that it is at least 1 million.
Preparation Time: 2 posts to use all the trees, 1 post to use one tree

Name: Blade of Grass: Bankai Version
Description: This ability can be used while Lanying is in her shikai, as well as her bankai. Using this ability, Lanying is able to create a blade made entirely out of leaves in her spare hand in her shikai, or either of her hands in bankai, that is as hard as steel. The durability of this blade is weak, and can only be used for a short period of time before the leaves scatter once again. The bankai version is twice as powerful as the shikai version and has a small cooldown as Lanying is unarmed while in Bankai. This ability summons the same amount of leaves as it would in shikai, 100, but doubles it for the dual weapons.
Preparation Time: 1 post for one weapon to be formed, 2 posts for two

Name: Tree Rebirth
Description: This ability allows her to regrow the trees that are cut down or destroyed by either her, or her opponents.
